Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

AaGlobal is committed to ethical business practices and ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking does not take place in any part of our business or supply chains. This statement defines the steps taken by the company to combat modern slavery and efforts made to identify and mitigate potential risks.

As a provider of language services, our supply chain primarily consists of freelance linguists and approved service suppliers.

Commitment

AaGlobal acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions outlined in the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

AaGlobal does not enter into business with any other organisation, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude or forced/compulsory labour.

Policies

AaGlobal has a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. To reinforce this commitment, we have implemented several policies, including:

  • Corporate Social Responsibility Policy – Ensuring our business practices align with ethical standards.
  • Whistleblowing Policy – Allowing report of concerns about modern slavery without fear of retaliation.
  • Fair Recruitment and Selection Policy – Safeguarding fair recruitment processes that prevent exploitation.
  • Safeguarding Protection of Vulnerable Adults and Children Policy – Processes to ensure report of safeguarding concerns.
  • Supplier Approval Procedures – Conducting due diligence on all suppliers before approval.

Due Diligence Processes

AaGlobal conducts ongoing due diligence to prevent modern slavery within our business and supply chains. These processes include annual review of suppliers to ensure compliance with our internal requirements. Online due diligence checks to verify suppliers have not been convicted of offenses related to modern slavery.

Risk Assessing

AaGlobal recognises that our primary exposure to modern slavery risk is through our direct supply chain. Although we conduct due diligence and we trust our suppliers to adhere to ethical labour practices, we acknowledge that we cannot directly control their operations. To mitigate risks, we assess supply chain links annually to take corrective actions where necessary.

Measuring Effectiveness

In order to evaluate the effectiveness of our anti-slavery efforts, we monitor the following:

  • Annual review and update of the Modern Slavery Statement in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
  • Annual review of all policies linked to modern slavery prevention.
  • Regular supplier reviews to identify and address risks.
  • Monitoring and investigating any reported concerns relating to modern slavery.

Training

AaGlobal recognises the importance of staff awareness and prevention. To strengthen our approach we ensure that key staff members responsible for supplier engagement receive additional awareness training on diligence and ethical sourcing. Encouraging continual learning through internal communications.
